prof. Tatiana Iancheva, DSc
Since 1991 Prof. Tatiana Iancheva, D.Sc has been a lecturer at the Department Psychology, Pedagogy and Sociology at the National Sports Academy “Vassil Levski”, Sofia.
In 1990 she defended PhD Thesis on the topic: “Peculiarities of the Personal Development with Elite Rhythmic Gymnasts”. In 2004 she defended her thesis to obtain the degree “Doctor of Psychological Sciences” on the topic “Personality and Competitive Realization”. In 1999 she was elected an associate professor and since 2006 she has been a professor of sports psychology at the National Sports Academy “Vassil Levski”.
The scientific interests of prof. Tatiana Iancheva, D.Sc are connected with the problems of: Personality and personal development in sport, Competitive realization, Development of the talents in sport, Dual career in sport, Psychological assurance in the sport activity, Management skills, Management of human resources.
Prof. Iancheva has a wide academic experience. She teaches BA and MA students. She leads independent courses in different master programs and teaches in the educational and scientific degree “Doctor”. She is the Head of the master program “Sports Journalism”.
Lecturer of UEFA (Football coaching academy), lecturer of the UEG (European Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation).
Guest lecturer at various international universities.
Member of Managing Board of Psychologists Society in Bulgaria, Editor of Bulgarian Journal of Psychology, Editor ofJournal of Applied Sports Sciences, Chairman of
Special Olympics Bulgaria, Member of the Management Board of the Bulgarian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation.
Author of 7 books and over 170 scientific publications.
She participates and leads sections at several international scientific conferences at home and abroad.
Practical experience: Psychologist of the national rhythmic gymnastics team, psychologist-consultant of PFC “Levski” in Sofia, psychologist-consultant of the national U17 football team, the national teams of modern pentathlon, trampoline, judo, wrestling.
Administrative experience: Professor. Tatiana Iancheva was Dean of the Coach Faculty mandate 2000 – 2004, Head of Department “Psychology, Pedagogy and Sociology for the period 2000 – 2004 and from 2012 to present, Vice-Rector for Research and International Relations of NSA “Vasil Levski” since 2016.
